hello, friends! this is a newsletter about my two passions: books and stationery. I share book reviews and other bookish resources and reflections. I also write about journaling and the benefits of putting pen to paper. Mostly, this is a space where I can write about the things I love and connect with others who love those things too.

about me

my name is RACHEL, my pronouns are she/her, and I live with my husband and son in northern Virginia. I am a native New Yorker and I miss the city (almost) every day. I have been an avid reader my entire life and have loved stationery for as long as I can remember. I can think of no better way to spend an afternoon than slowly browsing books or stationery at one of my favorite local shops.

In my day-to-day work, I research and write about k-12 education policy. You can read more about my research here and here. While a lot of my reading interests intersect with my research, this newsletter is a space for me. (so all the normal disclaimers: the views expressed here do not represent the views of my employer, etc., etc. )
