thank you for sharing this! I want to move away from amazon, but my five-year-old paperwhite works just fine so I can't justify buying a new ereader until it bites the dust.
I was most excited about the overdrive aspect of the kobo, but the multiple library cards issue gives me pause (so thank you for bringing it up!). In Massachusetts we have reciprocal lending between our different library networks across the state on overdrive. I'm only using one library card number, but I had to link it to each individual network in libby so I'm assuming it would be the same as having an entirely different library card for each network.
ok I hope to switch to kobo when my kindle dies too and I’ve found some reddit posts that talk about how to sign in to multiple libraries! can dm you a link on IG if you’re interested :) I have 14 library cards in Libby so I’d definitely like to know that it works!!
please please do! I've gone down this rabbit hole and I think there used to be a way to hack Overdrive to connect to multiple library cards, but that it's gone away after some Overdrive update. But I'm all ears if there are other approaches. (will share anything back here in case folks are interested!)
